Graphic Design Visual Identity & Advertising Campaign

We were particularly pleased about the assignment for the graphic design and the development of the Better understanding, better Integration campaign in 2009. Because Marlene Kern Design, Online Advertising Agency, was supposed to design and visually communicate an important project of the State Capital Munich.

The advertising campaign wanted to focus on language skills as an important prerequisite for successful communication. Because language barriers make understanding difficult and often lead to misunderstandings. For better understanding, the campaign wanted to motivate people to use the many courses offered in Munich to learn and improve language skills.

The core of the campaign was to provide information via a website from the city of Munich, which presented all the language courses on offer in a clear manner and was intended to make it easier for an interested target group to choose the right course.

Graphic Design Concept

As a graphic designer and advertising agency, we implemented the concept idea by visualizing a heart in which images of people from many countries and cultures were combined to form a universal symbol of humanity.

Who doesn’t dream of a world in peace. The motif we created for this project realizes this dream. Using a digital collage, we merged images of people from all over the world into a colorful unit. The individual photos for this were taken during my stays in Egypt, Japan, New York, Portugal, Spain and Berlin.

Poster design and marketing media

After the final approval of our design, we formed all desired marketing media in a uniform appearance. In addition to the poster design in DIN A1 format, we also created a large-format poster for visible advertising in Munich. The project volume also included postcards, flyers and the design for the website.
